Field Service/Support Technician

Position Summary Levata is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of technology solutions at customer sites, ensuring high-quality service delivery and strong client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically capable, and comfortable working independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform onsite installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of:
Wireless networking equipment (APs, controllers)
Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A)
RFID and IoT solutions (where applicable)
POS, scanners, printers, and related hardware
Execute project work including:
Access point mounting and alignment
Cable runs, terminations, and testing
Equipment rack/IDF/MDF setup
Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently while onsite
Ensure all work is completed to professional and safety standards
Maintain clear and accurate documentation:
Service reports
Installation photos
Test results (Fluke or equivalent where required)
Communicate effectively with:
Customers onsite
Dispatch and project coordination teams
~ Manage time, travel, and assigned work orders to meet project timelines
Required Qualifications
~2+ years of experience in field service or low-voltage/network installations
~ Strong understanding of:
- Structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
- Wireless networking fundamentals
Experience with:
Cable termination and testing
Mounting hardware and cable pathways (J-hooks, conduit, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret:
Floor plans
Network diagrams
Valid driver’s license and must have access to vehicle everyday
Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
Cisco Meraki, Extreme, Fortinet, or similar wireless platforms
RFID or warehouse technologies
Certifications (nice to have):
Network+ / CCNA
Manufacturer certifications (Meraki, Extreme, etc.)
Lift certification / Working at Heights
~ Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
Work Environment
Field-based role with travel to customer locations
Work may include:
Warehouses, retail environments, offices, and industrial sites
~ Occasional after-hours or weekend work depending on project requirements
