As a Funeral Director and Embalmer at South Side Memorial Chapel, located in Edmonton, Alberta , you will have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to families on their end-of-life journey. This includes respectful decedent care, expert embalming services, and overseeing all aspects of funeral services. Responsibilities include filing death certificates, maintaining online obituary listings, performing embalming, and assisting during funeral services.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Possesses a Funeral Director Embalmer license and has 1 to 5 years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director Embalmer.

Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences.

Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.

Excellent knowledge of Funeral Home procedures and business practices including Funeral Home Procedures Manuals.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Arranges, coordinates and directs funeral ceremonies.

Meets and surpasses the needs and expectations of the families we serve.

Maintains active involvement within the community and is committed to building and establishing effective relationships and rapport.

Arranging the transfer of the decedent to and from the crematorium.

Ensuring all legal and ethical requirements are communicated to the staff and fully adhered to.
