JOB TITLE: Finance Director

TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: President & CEO

IMMEDIATE SUBORDINATES: 4 staff

CLASSIFICATION LEVEL: Permanent

The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks. They will oversee the financial operations of the business and provide frequent financial reports/updates. They will also ensure strict adherence to all financial regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies
• Ensure all compliance reports are filed accurately and on time with the regulatory bodies
• Provide reports and updates to the Board of Directors
• Oversee all payroll functions
• Create and maintain annual budget
• Project management accounting including the management of restricted funds
• Effectively maintain all financial records
• Oversee annual audit process
• Manage team of office and financial staff

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in accounting, commerce, or business
• CPA designation required
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with progressive responsibility in a management role
• Experience with not for profit accounting an asset
• Previous experience with year-end audits required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
• Experience with SAGE, Donor Perfect, and Raisers Edge an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
