Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Python)

We are looking for an experienced ML Engineer who will operate in a technical lead role for the machine learning function of our A.I. business unit. Candidates will directly support Blackpoint’s cyber security mission, helping to stop cyber-attacks, and protecting Blackpoint’s rapidly growing customer base.

As ML Engineer, you will be responsible for building out Blackpoint Cyber’s machine learning solutions to support development of our A.I. You will report directly to the Head of Artificial Intelligence.

Blackpoint Cyber is looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years of experience in hands-on ML Engineering, with a track record of delivering A.I. Experience building in the well-architected mindset—for efficiency, performance, security, and reliability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Cloud-based ML Infrastructure (AWS)
• Model Development & Deployment OperaJons (SageMaker, Airflow)
• Pipeline AutomaJon (A.I. ML Governance (Data, Model, & Feature Versioning, Monitoring & TesJng)
• Scripting Language (Python, Bash)
• Query Language (SQL, Ksql)
• GitFlow & DevOps Best Practices

Transformer Neural Nets

• Agile Scrum
• Programming (Scala, Java)
• Experience in Cybersecurity, IoT, or NLP fields

Develop, optimize, and deploy ML models.

• Design, build, and administrate model building and serving infrastructure.
• Implement ML workflows as containerized Infrastructure as Code.
• Build & automate standardized container pipelines for training, feature engineering, and inference channels.
• Conduct performance, load, and deployment testing of delivered ML solutions.
• Develop ML governance utilities for oversight and administration of deployed infrastructure.
• Implement data, feature, and model lifecycle best practices.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Blackpoint Cyber’s Security OperaJons Center (SOC), and our Adversary Pursuit Group (APG)

The above sets forth the annual base salary range in CAD for this role exclusive of any discretionary bonus that may be awarded.
