$67,704 – 82,148 annually (2024 rates)
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Executive Assistant provides high-level executive administrative support to the Mayor, Chief Administrative Officer, and Director of Corporate Services. This role is responsible for coordinating and preparing materials for senior leadership and Council related processes, conducting research and compiling information, and preparing/maintaining records, briefing notes, and minutes. The position operates in a complex political and administrative environment and requires a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Education & Certification:
Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
A certificate in Local Government Administration is considered an asset.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a senior-level executive assistant or senior administrative assistant, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience in a local government environment is preferred.
Proven ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
Experience with senior office administration tasks such as planning, organizing meetings, calendar management etc.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
