Status: Independent Contractor
Flexible (1-4 days per week)
The Newly Institute was founded to provide long-lasting change within the mental health industry our community and with our clients. We are leading a paradigm shift in the Canadian healthcare system by building a network of purpose-built mental health clinics across Canada. By fusing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment model with medically managed therapies our intensive outpatient programs provide rapid access rapid resolution and rapid return to work and healthy lifestyle programs for anxiety depression addiction post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) trauma and chronic pain.
This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Psychotherapists to join us as we grow our clinical team in Ontario.
The Registered Psychotherapist role is primarily responsible for providing one-to-one therapy for individuals struggling with complex mental health conditions. This role is a key part of our dynamic clinical team and reflects our core values of communication community excellence health and innovation.
Provide individual trauma therapy utilizing Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and/or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Provide resource-based interventions case management and coordination transition or discharge planning.
Other mental health diagnoses
Work collaboratively with other therapists by sharing a client caseload within a rotating therapist model.
Participate in mental health promotion activities and contribute to establishing and maintaining mental health and addictions community resources.
Administrative Accountabilities
Provide reporting to third parties and community referral sources.
Engagement in professional consults and supervision.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Psychotherapist in mental health treatment is required.
- 2 years of working with third party funders is an asset.
- EMDR or ART experience is an asset.
- Masters degree in Social Work Counselling or related field is required.
An active registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) is required.
Technical Competences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Teams is required.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is required.
Experience with TELUS Med Access EMR is an asset.
