Could you be the full-time OCS CAD Designer Intern in Toronto, ON, we’re looking for?
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll help shape the future of railway electrification by supporting the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) design team in delivering on-time design submissions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Project Management, Site Construction Teams, and External Stakeholders), assist in developing concept/basic design documentation, and contribute to the creation of a 3D model library for OCS designs, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of supporting the OCS structural design team with mechanical calculations, but also liaising with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards and timely delivery.
Providing support on OCS topics to System Engineering and BIM teams
Respecting Engineering Management, Design Quality, and Interface Management plans
Ensuring compliance with normative references and local standards
Undertaking 3D modelling activities to support OCS design development

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
Familiarity with AutoDesk software and other modelling tools
Fluency in English (a second language is appreciated)

The expected compensation for this role is $23 – $27 CAD per hour. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
