Instrumentation Engineer - Electrical

On site 5 days per week in North Vancouver, BC * Are you someone early on in your engineering career looking to take on meaningful and complex projects in a dynamic, hands-on environment? We're seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team and contribute to exciting new construction initiatives. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to grow your skills while working under the guidance of senior professionals on all phases of electrical systems design. Support the design and execution of electrical power systems by preparing calculations and design packages that align with contract requirements.
Develop detailed engineering documents, including Electrical Load Lists, Single Line Diagrams, Cable Diagrams, Instrumentation and Controls Lists, and wiring schematics.
Conduct trade studies—both formal and informal—to identify the most efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Generate technical specifications, material requisitions, and Bills of Materials in accordance with client and project standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, participating in design reviews and ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems.
Assist in engineering close-out activities, ensuring all documentation, compliance requirements, and deliverables are met.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of post-secondary experience in Electrical, controls and instrumentation Engineering is vital
- Experience in heavy industrial environments is required; shipyard experience is a strong asset.
- Strong proficiency in technical writing and documentation, including specifications, procedures, and reports.
Pay: $42-46 per/hour
12 month contract opportunity
On site 5 days per week
