Software (Android developer)

We’re seeking someone to join our E-trade mobile android team as an Android software developer in Client Platforms to help build engaging features for our Android applications. In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Engineering position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

Construct, enhance, and troubleshoot native Android applications in an Agile, Develop, test, and maintain features for our Android apps using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic performance, reliability, and usability issues.
Contribute to improving development processes and code quality.

1–3 years of professional experience developing Android applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid understanding of Kotlin and familiarity with Android SDK.

Exposure to Android Architecture Components (e.g., Experience with Jetpack Compose and XML-based UI design.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and networking in Android.
Experience with Git version control.
Basic understanding of unit testing and debugging techniques.
Exposure to CI/CD tools and Agile development practices.
Good communication skills and a willingness to ask questions and seek help.
