Market Manager (Remote)

The Community You Will Join:

You will focus on building strong relationships with these hosts, helping them optimize their listings, improve pricing strategies, and enhance their overall success on Airbnb.

As a Market Manager, you will be responsible for the growth of a book of business in your assigned territories by managing professional host accounts and supply acquisition of high quality inventory. You will build Airbnb’s strong market presence in your assigned region in collaborating with other teams as the local in-market expert. You will help develop and iterate scalable, localized supply strategies in your territory aiming to secure our long-term success.

Directly manage accounts to meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales goals

Analyze data and utilize data-driven recommendations to identify and action on strategic opportunities in your region to drive increase in sales

Prospect and onboard new, high quality supply in your assigned geography

Maintain a baseline understanding of the technical integration of various software partners so that you can provide the right support to your clients

Educate clients on all significant product changes, and cascade feedback on product and policy to the relevant internal stakeholders — including staying current on evolving Canadian short-term rental regulations at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels

Develop deep knowledge of your assigned geographic markets and become the go-to source for all information relating to local trends and market dynamics for internal and external partners

Respond to and deliver exceptional service to your professional hosts in a timely and efficient manner, occasionally traveling to your market to provide in-person support and guidance

Work cross-functionally with product, communications, public policy and customer support teams to ensure our long-term market success.

6+ years of experience in new sales, account management, and partner support, showcasing a deep understanding and capability in fostering business relationships.

• Fluency in English required, however, special consideration will be given to those bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese
• 2+ years of tech/travel industry experience is a plus, highlighting the value of sector-specific knowledge.
• Proven track record of being able to effectively work a leads pipeline and a book of business, demonstrating expertise in nurturing and converting potential opportunities.
• Proficient quantitative skills and proven ability to interpret and apply data throughout your day-to-day work, emphasizing the importance of data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person, underscoring the importance of strong interpersonal skills.
• Highly proficient in using CRM software, specifically in working with leads, opportunities, and other core objects - Salesforce experience is a plus, indicating the technical tools proficiency needed for effective relationship management.
• Based in either British Columbia or Alberta, and must be willing to regularly travel to your assigned territory. Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy - being an Airbnb host is a plus, culminating the profile with a personal alignment and enthusiasm for the company's mission and sector.

The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
