Sales Manager - Customer Experience - Remote

The Global Payments Sales Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the performance, strategy, and execution of Lightspeed's payments cross-sell and upsell motion across the existing North American, Australian, and European merchant base. This role involves managing a global team of Account Executives and Business Development Reps focused on driving the adoption of Lightspeed Payments within our existing Point of Sale merchant base.
Building off of success our new business teams have experienced in selling the combined POS-payments solution, we are scaling our ability to sell payments into our existing merchant base, many of which became clients before we scaled Lightspeed Payments.
Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a geographically dispersed team of 6 Account Executives and 2 Business Development Reps.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Sales Cycle Optimization: Guide the team through the complete sales cycle, from qualification to payments launch- coaching on deal structures, pricing, and contract negotiations to ensure profitability and successful launches.
Talent and Training Strategy: Oversee the full talent lifecycle, including driving ongoing training focused on payments industry knowledge, consultative selling, and negotiation.
Collaborate closely with Account Management, Marketing, and Onboarding leadership to ensure a consistent lead flow and seamless merchant transition/launch.
Product Feedback Loop: Synthesize merchant feedback on product functionality, competitive threats, and market trends. Forecasting & Pipeline Ownership: Own and deliver accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts, conducting regular activity and pipeline reviews.
Leadership Experience (8+ years): Proven experience managing, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing sales team.
Extensive experience in the payment processing industry, specifically in merchant-facing sales, account management, or GTM roles.
Sales Closing Role (5+ years): Demonstrated experience in a closing role focused on payments or technology sales.
Communication & Influence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence C-level internal stakeholders and senior merchant contacts.

At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skill set, qualifications, experience, and market data. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the total compensation for this position to be in the range of $220,000-242,000 OTE CAD .
