For over 80 years, John Brooks Company has been solving fluid handling challenges for customers in various industries/markets across Canada by providing a diverse selection of engineered products and innovative system designs, focusing on customized solutions consisting of filtration, pump, spray, and valve products.
Under the supervision of the Sales Supervisor , the Technical Sales Representative is responsible for providing field technical sales support to customers of John Brooks Company in various markets and industries. The incumbent will be responsible for consultative field sales activities – both generating and closing sales opportunities, necessary to maintain and grow business for Pump products. Our Technical Sales Representatives are responsible for overall customer satisfaction, while meeting or exceeding the territory sales and profitability targets.
Responsible for providing top quality field technical sales support to customers for pump products and pump systems (50%-60% Travel)
Manage & service existing business/ client base within sales territory
Establish and maintain professional business relations with new and existing customers
Conduct sales calls/meetings with existing customers; Prospect, generate, and qualify sales opportunities and leads; conduct sales calls/meetings, provide recommendations, and discuss product options & opportunities
Visit customers to review products & applications, evaluate and recommend custom pump solutions to suit individual customer needs
CRM management; create, submit, track, and update statuses of all proposals, quotations, and customer inquiries in Maximizer
provide product and system technical support, and assist with product selection and proposals
Participate in joint calls with strategic suppliers in order to discover new opportunities, or to help strengthen the Company offering
conduct professional technical presentations, and promote core products for specific product applications
attend all required training
College Diploma in a related field
Minimum 3-6 years of Industrial Process Pump sales experience
Proficient sales skills and a keen desire to continue developing those skills
Must demonstrate sound technical and mechanical proficiency relating to various product applications
Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.)
A hunter mindset with a strong technical aptitude and a general understanding of industrial processes

Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systems
Daily customer and inter-departmental/branch communication via telephone calls, faxes, emails, and virtual meetings

Competitive remuneration including base salary + incentive (We expect to offer base compensation within the range of $67,000 to $95,000, with final offers determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.)
