We are looking for a Financial Controller who brings the same who thrives on accuracy leadership and strategic impact. As our Financial Controller you will oversee all financial operations at Upstream Data managing both Canadian and U.You will lead a talented accounting team ensure accuracy across all reporting and drive continuous improvement through system optimization and strategic insights.
Youll report directly to the CEO acting as a trusted partner in decision-making and long-term planning.
Manage full-cycle accounting including inventory cost of revenue AR/AP payroll and treasury
Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support business goals
Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. tax and audit requirements
Analyze trends metrics and KPIs to guide strategic planning and risk management
Drive ERP and process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial visibility
Manage cash flow credit facilities and banking relationships
Support leadership with financial modeling scenario planning and investment analysis
Experience with manufacturing inventory and cost accounting
- Expertise in tax reporting audit management and treasury operations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems
- Valid passport
This position is based on-site in Calgary Alberta in an office setting. Occasional travel will be required to attend conferences trade shows and visits to other Upstream Data facilities in Alberta and Wyoming.
