Staff Accountant - Accounting and Tax

Cameco Corporation-Saskatoon
Partner with various departments and provide tax expertise.
- Contribute to the strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting of the various Cameco entities.
- Compile, analyze, report and defend royalty and tax information for internal and external disclosures.
- Support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required, including proactively participating in the identification and development of efficient, value-added processes.
Canadian Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation;
- bachelors degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field;
- five to 10 years of relevant work experience, with a focus on Canadian tax compliance;
knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- completion or enrollment in the CPA Canada in-depth tax course; experience in a large multi-national enterprise with a tax provision component or equivalent;
- experience using ERP software (SAP);
- high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel; results-oriented, proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
