EA SPORTS FC is the world's #1 best-selling video game with over 200M engaged players across multiple platforms, including console, PC, and mobile. Reporting to the Development Director, the Hybrid Mobile Application Engineer will be part of the development process of a hybrid web/mobile companion application for our newest addition EA SPORTS FC. You will be involved in helping to deliver new features from conception to deployment, as well as maintaining existing features that are enjoyed by people around the world.
You will assist with new feature ideation and assessing technical feasibility
Design and develop data/logic systems to support and run new features
Work across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, modern web browsers)
Work with people on a large team, both locally and remotely
Stay up to date with the latest technical recommendations and app store requirements
3+ years of experience implementing hybrid/web application development frameworks (e.g. Java, Objective-C, C#)
3+ years of experience building web based UI and animations (e.g. CSS3 Animations , WebGL, pixie JS)
3+ years of experience with web-based network communication (e.g. Fetch/XHR, XML, JSON, REST)
Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
