Guidewire Policy Center Developer

Job Responsibility:

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Guidewire Policy Center V10 Configuration, Integration, product model configuration and GOSU Script development
• Guidewire Certification in Policy Center Configuration and Integration V10 is required.
• Experience in building Gunits is required.
• Strong experience in any JVM technologies or surrounding ecosystem (e.g. Java 8, J2EE, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, any Application Server, any Enterprise Messaging System)
• Experience with SQL / PL-SQL and usage of SQL Developer or similar tools.
• Ability to communicate design ideas effectively using UML.
• Experience implementing at least one project in Guidewire Policy Center from concept to release.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience using SoapUI / JMeter for service testing.
• Working experience and demonstrated ability creating and documenting technical designs.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Following an agile methodology, participating in planning, and estimating sessions and completing analysis, design and development for Policy Center applications.
• Development may include Integration with Guidewire Studio, Web Service Development, Policy Center Configuration, and Integration.
• Coordination with offshore team and complete the deliverables.
• Completing unit testing and supporting E2E and UAT.
• Performing incident management in accordance with Service Level Objectives.
• Managing multiple concurrent tasks in an environment of changing deadlines, priorities, and requirements.
• Working cooperatively in a cross functional team environment and with other departments to develop enhancements and to provide support for Insurance applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
