NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled Area Manager (Logistics Sr Specialist) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the logistics in their assigned area. This position requires a strong understanding of part/program launch activities, inventory accuracy, warehouse and shipping operations, and resource management.

Responsibilites:
Responsible for operations in assigned area in a 24/7 work environment.
Lead direct reports and direct 3rd party service providers on site.
Ensure PPE requirements, safe equipment operations, and best practices are being followed at all times.
Responsible for inventory and monthly inventory reporting for their area.
Provide support in continuous improvement activities.
Maintain good communication and information sharing with other facility operations teams.
Conduct 5s and safety walks and follow up to any observations to verify timely closure.
Follow all Company safety and security guidelines.
Ability to influence others and manage conflict with a fact-based problem-solving approach.
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.

Minimum Requirements:
~ University degree plus 8 years of progressive leadership experience or 10+ years of progressive leadership experience.

Preferred Requirements:
Experience Launching new lines.
Ability to grow and develop others.
Experience with ERP/MES systems.
