CNC Operator - Manufacturing

This is a full-time permanent CNC Machinist opportunity in Oakville, Ontario, offering a competitive pay range of $35.00 to $43.00 per hour (for top applicants). You will manufacture critical steel components for the nuclear sector across two specialized divisions: the Small Cell, utilizing 4- and 5-axis machines like DMG and Fanuc to hit tolerances of +/-0.0005" on fittings; and the Large Cell, featuring Mazak Integrex lathes and Tacchi horizontal boring mills for pipes up to 45" in length. This role provides an exceptional variety of work, from high-precision small parts to heavy-duty machining on large-scale nuclear infrastructure. Permanent Position: Begin working as a direct hire of this manufacturing company with no probation period.

• Stable Employment: Join a nuclear manufacturing facility in Oakville with a history of stable employment and annual compensation increases.
• 4 straight shift options: Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm, Monday-Thursday 4:15pm-2:15am, Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm, Friday-Sunday 6pm-6am.
• Shift Premiums: 5% shift premium for afternoon/night shifts, get paid 40 hours for the Friday-Sunday shifts while working only 36 hours (stacks with nightshift premium).

• Utilize a diverse fleet of high-end machinery including Fanuc, Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma, and Tacchi.
• Manufacture critical nuclear components (end fittings, liners, and piping) held to extreme tolerances of +/-0.0005”.
• Apply expert-level GD&T knowledge to interpret technical drawings and verify part integrity.
• Ensure all work meets rigorous nuclear regulatory standards through meticulous self-inspection.
• Minimum Requirement: 4 years of experience independently performing setups on multi-axis CNC machines in a high-precision environment (tolerances of +/- 0.001" or tighter).
• Solid experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls is required; familiarity with Heidenhain, Mitsubishi, or Siemens is considered a strong asset.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Machining, or a related technical field.
• Experience within the Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas, or Nuclear sectors is considered a significant asset.
• Advanced Tier Requirements (ONLY FOR TOP PAY BAND: $43 PER HOUR): Candidates must possess experience setting up and programming Mazak Integrex 650/670 series, 4-/5-axis programming in Mastercam, previous Team Lead experience, and Red Seal or Skilled Trades Ontario (General Machinist) status.
