Maintenance Coordinator - Temporary

Are you ready to be part of a team that values safety continuous improvement quality and employee well-being CHEP is looking for a motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Boucherville QB! This role will lead a team of 3 technicians and will travel to 34 other plants in the region approx. 2 days/week. Responsible for leading the service center maintenance departments to achieve the safe and effective maintenance repair or replacement of plant facility systems.

Develop and manage a robust preventive maintenance program to ensure timely and effective maintenance reducing equipment downtime and improving overall plant efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations actively enforcing corporate Zero Harm policies and conducting regular safety checks on equipment and building services.
Implement process reliability systems and lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving equipment reliability and efficiency targets.
Manage the procurement inventory and budget control of spare parts and consumables ensuring effective stock management to support maintenance activities.
Lead and support capital expenditure projects related to equipment upgrades new installations and plant improvements ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Monitor and optimize the use of utilities such as electricity gas and water identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Ensure plant compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards through regular safety audits equipment testing and asset management processes.
Lead mentor and develop the maintenance team ensuring adequate staffing training and performance management to meet the operational needs of the plant.

Support the activities of the maintenance team ensuring efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery and systems ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies promoting a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities equipment performance and inventory control of spare parts through our CMMS program.
Collaborate with other departments including production EHS quality and engineering to optimize plant operations and achieve production goals.
Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
In conjunction with SCM and the Regional Maintenance Supervisor manage maintenance budgets and control costs while maintaining high standards of service.

Performance Metrics for Evaluation:
Equipment Downtime: Measure the reduction in equipment downtime due to effective preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
Maintenance Response Time: Track the average time taken to respond to and resolve maintenance issues.
Maintenance Costs: Evaluate the ability to manage and reduce maintenance costs while maintaining service quality.
Assess the productivity and efficiency of the maintenance team including the completion of scheduled tasks and projects.
Training and Development: Measure the progress and improvement in the skills and knowledge of maintenance technicians through training programs.
Customer Satisfaction: Gather feedback from other departments on the effectiveness and responsiveness of the maintenance team.

Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintenance with a strong understanding of industrial automation systems.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in both French and English

Licensed Maintenance Millwright/Industrial Electrician or equivalent
Ability to lead through example and work as a subject matter expert to indirectly lead a team of Maintenance Mechanics.
High Degree of Computer Literacy

Familiarity with various PLC brands and programming languages.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency situations

Tenez des registres précis des activités de maintenance des performances des équipements et du contrôle des stocks de pièces de rechange grâce à notre programme de GMAO.
Collaborer avec dautres départements y compris la production lEHS la qualité et lingénierie pour optimiser les opérations de lusine et atteindre les objectifs de production.
Offrir des possibilités de formation et de perfectionnement aux techniciens dentretien afin daméliorer leurs compétences et leurs connaissances.
En collaboration avec SCM et le Superviseur de maintenance régional gérez les budgets de maintenance et contrôlez les coûts tout en maintenant des normes de service élevées.

Temps darrêt de léquipement : Mesurez la réduction des temps darrêt de léquipement grâce à une maintenance préventive efficace et à des réparations en temps opportun.
Temps de réponse à la maintenance : suivez le temps moyen nécessaire pour répondre et résoudre les problèmes de maintenance.
Conformité à la sécurité : Surveillez le respect des règles de sécurité et le nombre dincidents ou de violations de la sécurité.
Coûts de maintenance : Évaluez la capacité à gérer et à réduire les coûts de maintenance tout en maintenant la qualité du service.
Évaluez la productivité et lefficacité de léquipe de maintenance y compris lachèvement des tâches et des projets prévus.
Formation et perfectionnement : Mesurer les progrès et lamélioration des compétences et des connaissances des techniciens de maintenance grâce à des programmes de formation.
Recueillir les retours des autres départements sur lefficacité et la réactivité de léquipe de maintenance.

Mécanicien industriel / Électricien industriel certifié ou équivalent
Capacité à diriger par lexemple et à agir en tant quexpert technique pour encadrer indirectement une équipe de mécaniciens de maintenance
Familiarité avec diverses marques dAPI et langages de programmation.
Capacité de lire et dinterpréter des dessins techniques et des schémas.
Maîtrise de lutilisation des logiciels et outils de gestion de la maintenance.
Volonté de travailler selon un horaire flexible et dêtre sur appel en cas durgence.
