Reporting to the Manager, Sales and Revenue, the Business Development Advisor provides support in the expansion of BC Transit's prepaid fare product portfolio including ProPASS, UPASS and EcoPASS while working with our business partners to explore new and existing channels to grow revenues across the Province. In addition, you will provide expertise and guidance to BC Transit's municipal government partners on matters relating to fare pricing and revenue performance and goals through the delivery of analyses, forecasts, business cases, public consultation, recommendations, presentations, and implementations.

Experience in a business development, commercial sales, or related role with proven success in securing new business and accounts and with writing and presenting business cases.

Experience in accounting, economics and pricing is an asset.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Sound analytical and research skills to perform strategic data analysis and reporting

Experience developing productive business relationships through communication, collaboration, and negotiation

Working experience in reading and understanding financial reports, developing statistical and other sensitive analyses

Strong written skills to prepare high quality and professional reports detailing statistical information and recommendations to a variety of audiences

Advanced skills in building, maintaining, and analyzing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and database programs
