Quality Assurance Senior Engineer

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Location Newmarket, ON L3Y 8E4 : Position Overview: Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is seeking to recruit a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with an expertise in GD&T and FARO arm. The Quality Assurance Engineer will effectively develop and lead Quality assurance activities in an automotive assembly setting.
The successful candidate will initiate internal continuous improvements and quality projects, while facilitating corrective actions internally and with external suppliers effectively on a regular basis. The Quality Assurance Engineer will perform visual inspections and well as mechanical and functional verification of parts and vehicle to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply with relevant local Health and Safety legislation and company Health and Safety Policies
Identify internal and external quality problems as they arise and take initiative to make data driven recommendations for resolution and improvement
Identify and record any issues relating to the product, process and quality system and initiate action and resolution to prevent occurrence of non-conformity
Responsible for initiation of containment activities and development of containment method
Control processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until deficiency or issue has been corrected
Create quality documents in compliance with Multimatic's quality system requirements
Handle highly sensitive and confidential material
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Manage, coordinate and prioritize several assigned project activities with flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment and facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion
Education and Experience:
Must have strong knowledge and understanding of automotive process, with a technical aptitude
Product knowledge of multiple commodities will be an asset
Understanding and application of GD&T and FARO measurement processes
Able to use CMM and FARO reports to provide issue resolution
Understanding of structured quality problem solving tools and documentation
Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Good understanding of PPAP, PCP and PFD will be an asset
