Assistant Chief Steward (Full-Time)

Competitive Salary: $63000 - 64000 gross annually based on previous experience & education
Reporting to the Assistant Chief Steward responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Health & Safety Sustainability and the Employee Engagement Survey
Assist the Chief Steward in managing procurement and inventory minimizing expenses and increase employee productivity
Conduct quarterly china glassware silverware inventory and document variances and discrepancies
Conduct audits with local health inspector and (EHC) Environmental Health Consultancy auditor representative in the absence of the Chief Steward
Uphold all hygiene and sanitation regulations ensuring that all equipment in the kitchens and dishwashing areas are clean and in good working order
Conduct Audits and Performance Discussions for Stewarding Supervisors and Colleagues ensuring that all Progressive Corrective Action forms are completed correctly and forwarded to the Chief Steward
Conduct audits and gain feedback from the employee engagement survey process and put action plans into place and ensure goals are met.
Demonstrated ability to build a strong Stewarding team through recruitment training and organization
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel applications
Class 5 Drivers License with a comfort level driving a company vehicle of up to 1-ton. Previous supervisory experience in a fast paced hotel Stewarding Department an asset
