PART TIME/FULL TIME COOK

Company Description Tashkent Uzbek Cuisine, located in Vancouver, BC, specializes in serving authentic Uzbek and Central Asian dishes. Our menu features beloved traditional items such as plov, manti, samsa, and lagman, delivering the rich flavors of Uzbekistan to our community. We cater to a variety of dining preferences, offering dine-in, delivery, pickup, and catering services. Full-time and part-time on-site Cook position based in Vancouver, BC. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking the dishes from our menu, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. Duties also include collaborating with kitchen staff to manage prep work, portion control, and plating, while following traditional recipes.
Proficiency in food preparation and cooking, particularly in traditional Uzbek and Central Asian cuisines
Knowledge of kitchen safety, food hygiene, and sanitation principles
Ability to follow traditional recipes, manage portion control, and maintain consistent food quality
Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
Organizational skills to manage kitchen inventory and maintain cleanliness
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment
Previous experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant setting is a strong advantage
Basic understanding of inventory management is a plus
