Temporary Production Technician I

Role Profile Position: Production Technician - 2nd Shift

Summary of the Role
This position is typically responsible for a variety of tasks that are manufacturing, or distribution based and include responsibilities for final processing of product, crimping, hose assembly, and cut cell activities (including cuts, cleaning, labelling and skiving hose)

Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to create a secure working environment.
Proficiently assemble hoses according to specifications, ensuring precision and accuracy.
Assemble products to company, customer, and manufacturer’s standards.
Conduct thorough quality checks on assembled hoses to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
Ability to operate mechanical equipment, hand tools, forklifts and picking lifts maintaining a high level of proficiency and safety.
Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies in the assembly process.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal functionality.
Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Work closely with team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to address production challenges and enhance overall efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Fulfill production orders by selecting hoses and fittings according to specifications.
Load hoses into the saw cell, label hoses post-cutting, clean them after cuts, and skive as necessary.
Transport hoses to assembly stations and expertly assemble fittings onto hoses before forwarding them to the crimp station.
Precisely crimp hoses to meet Pinpoint specifications in preparation for the final processing stage.
Utilize scanning technology to record and track information at various points throughout the production process.
Conduct a final cleaning of assembled products, cap hoses appropriately, process order details meticulously, and package the finished products for shipment to end users.
Performs other related duties as required.

Skills and Abilities
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong interpersonal skills; works well within a team environment.
Requires proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in units of measure. Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.
Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, internet, and email.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of warehousing or production experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent
