Fairfield Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata has an existing part-time weekend vacancy for a Room Attendant (Saturdays and Sundays are required). The Room Attendant is expected to promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and able to address guest requests and problems.
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper or designate, you will:
Enters and prepares the room for cleaning;
Makes the bed(s) according to hotel standards;
Performs rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) Maintains work area and equipment according to hotel standards;
Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him;
Housekeeping experience is desirable but not required;
Basic knowledge of cleaning and industrial equipment and cleaning materials desired but not required;
Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces;
Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift;
Ability to work flexible shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays);
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
