Accountant, Payroll & Bookkeeping

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to join a construction company in Vaughan, ON. Experience in a professional services or architecture environment is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and experienced with industry-relevant accounting and project management software.

Competitive salary in between $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience

Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledgers

• - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including consultant and vendor payments
• - Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• - Process payroll and maintain payroll records
• - Prepare and submit HST and other regulatory filings
• - Generate financial reports (profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports)
• - Maintain and manage project billing, time tracking, and invoicing.
• - Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
