Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our FUN-ance Team (yes, that’s what we call ourselves!). This role is perfect for someone who loves a mix of day-to-day accounting operations and forward-looking financial strategy. YOU’RE FIRED UP TO SUPPORT

Operational Accounting: Execute complex reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring precise SaaS revenue recognition and maintaining General Ledger integrity.
Compliance & Audit: Support annual audit processes, regulatory tax filings, and external reporting requirements to ensure full compliance.
Internal Controls: Maintain robust internal controls and standardized accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and mitigate financial risk.
Process Innovation: Support the optimization of accounting workflows by identifying opportunities for automation and the integration of AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Financial Planning and Analysis (50%)

Develop and maintain sophisticated KPI dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable financial insights and performance metrics.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department leadership to consolidate inputs for the annual budget, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives.
Construct and refine dynamic financial models to forecast business performance and support strategic decision-making.
Trend Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and interpret key financial trends to identify risks and growth opportunities.
Implement and optimize accounting and FP&A systems to enhance automation, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams.
Support the management of the FP&A system by assisting with updates and maintenance of its architecture, helping to ensure data integrity and evolving functionality in support of strategic planning.
Deliver ad-hoc financial intelligence and lead special projects to drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytical workflows.
3-5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or corporate accounting.

• Experience at a Big Four accounting firm or in public accounting is considered a strong foundation for success in this role.
• Strong understanding of ASPE accounting standards and operational finance.
• Experience in SaaS or software/technology environments is considered an asset.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; Prior experience leading or coordinating annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, and variance analysis, including partnering with department leaders, is an asset.

• We're looking for someone who loves to learn and elevate their skills with new technology, particularly AI and large language models (LLMs) like Google Gemini. You should have a foundational understanding of how these tools work and a strong desire to explore how they can be used to solve business and customer problems. The range is grounded in comprehensive analysis of national compensation data for similar roles and company sizes in the technology sector, alongside a review of our internal compensation framework to ensure pay equity across the company. The final offer for this position will take a candidate's background, experience, skills, and internal equity into consideration.
