HR Administrator - Summer Student

Job Responsibility:
Acclaim Health announces the availability of one (1) Student position to provide administration support for the Human Resources department. This 7-week position requires the individual to work 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm, 1-hour unpaid break). This position will be based at the Speers Road Head Office in Oakville, and may also include some remote work from home. The individual must be a full-time student or recent graduate.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:

Assist in with the day-to-day efficient operation for the HR Department
Data entry for Administration and HR databases
Record keeping and maintaining employee records and files
Assisting with recruitment
Creating and modifying forms and documents
Assist with the on-boarding of new employees including the preparation of new hire documents
Assisting in developing and modifying PowerPoint presentations
Sending out and receiving mail
Providing customer service
Other tasks relating to projects

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Persons who are between 16 to 30 years of age are eligible
Currently enrolled in, or have completed post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
