Plastic Press Operators FULL-TIME

BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR-Markham, ON

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm and Friday 7am -11:15am

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate CNC press brake or similar bending machines to produce high-quality parts
• Set up, select, and modify CNC programs as required
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements
• Perform basic programming edits using CNC controls and related software
• Read and understand blueprints, work orders, and other process documentation to produce required parts for assembly and finished products.
• Set up and operate brake press, making adjustments as required, to ensure product meets engineering specification.
• Responsible for checking quality of formed product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for subsequent production steps.
• Responsible to adhere to production standards
• Follow health and safety standards and company policy at all times
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFCATIONS:

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to setup machine using engineering drawings
• Must be able to self-check for parts quality to ensure parts are produced defect-free.
• Have an aptitude for math, problem solving, and the ability to learn new skills.
• Ability to work independently and cooperate within a team.
• Ability to communicate well with others and be detailed-oriented.
• Willing and able to adapt to high pace and high-pressure work environment
