BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR-Markham, ON
Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm and Friday 7am -11:15am

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate CNC press brake or similar bending machines to produce high-quality parts
- Set up, select, and modify CNC programs as required
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements
- Perform basic programming edits using CNC controls and related software
- Read and understand blueprints, work orders, and other process documentation to produce required parts for assembly and finished products.
- Set up and operate brake press, making adjustments as required, to ensure product meets engineering specification.
- Responsible for checking quality of formed product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for subsequent production steps.
- Responsible to adhere to production standards
- Follow health and safety standards and company policy at all times
- Perform other duties as required
QUALIFCATIONS:
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to setup machine using engineering drawings
- Must be able to self-check for parts quality to ensure parts are produced defect-free.
- Have an aptitude for math, problem solving, and the ability to learn new skills.
- Ability to work independently and cooperate within a team.
- Ability to communicate well with others and be detailed-oriented.
- Willing and able to adapt to high pace and high-pressure work environment
