Immediate Need for Scrum Master @ Remote

Cayenta is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to serve as a servant leader and coach for our Agile development this role you will guide teams in adopting and refining Scrum practices facilitate collaboration remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Were looking for someone who is passionate about Agile principles and thrives on helping others succeed. The ideal candidate brings strong facilitation expertise emotional intelligence and a relentless drive to eliminate obstacles empowering self-organizing teams to deliver high-quality products iteratively and predictably.
You will not manage scope schedule or budget in the conventional sense. Instead you will coach teams to own their processes and outcomes champion continuous improvement and serve as a bridge between delivery teams and the product team.
You will report to the Senior Director of R&D with a preference for candidates based in Canada.
Salary: Up to 100K CAD
Assist the Product Owners vision to materialize by leading the scrum team every sprint.
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies Daily Standup Sprint Planning Sprint Review Sprint Retrospective and Backlog Refinement ensuring they are purposeful time-boxed and drive toward clear outcomes.
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles Scrum values and the continuous improvement mindset.
Guide the team toward self-organization helping them take ownership of their processes and outcomes.
Maintain and administer the Scrum board (Jira or equivalent) ensuring cards statuses and sprint data are accurate and current.
Track and communicate key Agile metrics velocity sprint burndown cycle time and sprint goal completion rates using data to drive retrospective discussions and improvement initiatives.
Provide regular status updates to stakeholders including sprint accomplishments current risks and issues and team health indicators.
Promote Agile adoption and best practices beyond the immediate team contributing to organizational Agile maturity.
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Professional Scrum Master (PSM II) Advanced CSM (A-CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
- 4 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master supporting software development teams.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and their practical application in product delivery.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and coaching teams through Agile adoption and maturity.
- High emotional intelligence empathy and active listening skills.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to use metrics and data to inform decisions.
- Experience designing or improving Agile processes for teams working on Utilities software such as CIS ERP or related platforms.
General understanding of software development and DevOps practices Cloud and emerging AI technologies.
