Electrical Construction Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Winnipeg, Manitoba . This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in building systems design who’s ready to take on a dynamic role involving technical design, project coordination, and client interaction across a wide variety of projects.
This position has opened due to growth, as new projects continue to come in. The team is expanding and looking for a dedicated engineer to help support the increasing workload and contribute to innovative design solutions across sectors.
Lead the electrical design of building systems including lighting, power distribution, life safety, emergency power, fire alarm, security, and communication systems.
Develop and review construction documentation in Revit and AutoCAD.
Manage electrical project deliverables and coordinate with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
Respond to contractor inquiries and provide technical guidance during all project phases.
Oversee quality assurance and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
Support proposal development, resource planning, and client relationship building.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and/or design coordination within the building consulting industry (e.g., residential, commercial, institutional).
Professional Engineering designation (P.Proficiency in developing construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD .
Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) .
Experience in project management and working in multidisciplinary team environments.
Familiarity with the bid and tendering process is an asset.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
