Full time Cabinet Maker

Progressive Cabinets & Millwork is Atlantic Canada's premiere supplier of multi-unit, commercial, and residential cabinetry and millwork. You will train and grow under the expertise of our Senior Commercial Millworker with the intent to take over that role in the coming years.
Progressive's Custom Cabinet Maker plays a crucial role in the production of commercial cabinetry and millwork. This position involves operating various woodworking machinery and tools to shape, cut, and assemble components for commercial, residential, and ad hoc projects. The individual in this role must have a strong understanding of carpentry, finishing, and cabinet making techniques. Set up machines for specific tasks according to project specifications.
Material Preparation
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
Select and prepare raw materials, ensuring they meet quality standards.
Production & Assembly
Assemble parts and components into finished products according to project specifications.
Ensure the accuracy and quality of assembled pieces.
Oversee and collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals.
Cut and shape material that cannot be cut on the CNC machine. Design and build jigs to assist in the production of custom and ad hoc items.
Quality Control
Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
Work with supervisors to implement quality improvement initiatives.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Participate in safety training sessions and report any safety concerns promptly.
Collaborate with other team members, including plant foreman and supervisors, in a variety of departments to ensure seamless workflow.
Communicate effectively to address project requirements and resolve any issues that may arise.
Monday to Friday

*Some overtime will be required on Saturdays every couple of weeks

• 3 - 5 years of experience manufacturing cabinets in a similar environment.

Overtime awarded at time and a half after 45 hours of weekly work.
