Responsibilities:
- Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner;
- Order writing;
- Receiving and rotating product;
- Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with Safeway programs;
- Working with raw as well as cooked seafood;
- Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs;
- Cleaning and sanitizing work area;
- Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations;
- Filling meat and seafood counters and showcases;
- Use of hand wrapper, and scale;
- Pricing meats and seafood.
Requirements:
- Works in a safe and responsible manner;
- Possess strong customer service qualities;
- Evening and weekend availability is strongly encouraged;
- Seldom: Not Daily, Rare: 0-5% of shift, Occasional: 6-33% of shift, Frequent: 34-66% of shift, Constant: 66-100% of shift;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
- Frequent standing, bending, walking, twisting, carrying, pushing or pulling;
- Occasional exposure to cold temperatures;
- Occasional lifting of between 20-50 pounds;
- Constant lifting of up to 20 pounds;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written form;
- Must be available to be scheduled anytime on Sunday (Alberta Only);
- Highly motivated and team oriented;
- Available to work flexible hours;
- Ability to learn quickly;
- Constant gripping.
