Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor media coverage and manage photo library of visuals available for Public Relations and Marketing;
- Coordinate large-scale event logistics, and proactively think through all pieces and help to facilitate a seamless event;
- Record and maintain merchandise counts;
- Other administrative tasks as needed to support the Marketing and Public Relations of events and festivals;
- Coordinate and develop campaigns and content calendars for Marketing and Public Relations;
- Assist and support Marketing and PR teams on-site at events with social media, public relations (including meet and greets and media interviews);
- Create presentations and wrap reports for various campaigns and events;
- Seek, coordinate, and update contact info for press lists;
- Assist in providing artists with festival info and specific communications regarding the event;
- Filling photos and videos for marketing purposes;
- Manage all copy, assets and deliverables for media;
- Seek opportunities through proactive media relationship coordination (Radio, TV, online blogs etc.);
- Coordinate ticketing distribution for community and media outlets contesting;
- Assist in creating engaging content on our digital marketing channels (social media accounts, website, email newsletter) and update website content.
Requirements:
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi-task/adapt in a fast-paced environment;
- Creative, solutions-focused problem solver;
- An understanding of social media, blogs, websites, magazines, newspapers, television, etc. as they relate to pop-culture, media, festivals, music etc;
- Knowledge of content management systems (WordPress/Squarespace) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.);
- A team player with a ‘can-do’ mindset;
- Natural curiosity and genuine passion for storytelling.
