Financial Data Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Financial Data Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Leveraging D365 data and BigQuery, develop various financial/business reports in Power BI;
- Create and produce management reports/dashboards in Power BI;
- Maintain and update sales target reports;
- Extract data from Geotab’s management system (GMS) and analyze via Google BigQuery (subscriptions, credits, etc.);
- Train users on the effective use of Power BI reports and spread knowledge of Power BI within Geotab;
- Ad hoc analysis using BigQuery, Google Sheets and Power BI.
Requirements:
- Ability to prioritize, critically analyze, solve and where appropriate, escalate issues;
- A self-starter with strong attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines;
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or Computer Science;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analysis/business analysis using SQL is required;
- Experience and knowledge of accounting and finance systems with demonstrated pragmatism is a plus;
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an asset;
- Advanced Excel skills (Macros, PivotTables) and SQL statements (Google BigQuery) is essential.
