Project Financial Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Project Financial Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data reports for projects review cycles;
- Participate in improvement of PMO methods, tools and enhancement initiatives (e.g. Planisware, Oracle, Workforce) where appropriate;
- Assist the project team on specific business tasks including, resource loading, project reviews, etc;
- Prepare analysis of performance for each project and perform variance analysis, including but not limited to forecasts, invoicing, and budgets;
- Ensures processes and templates established by the PMO are followed by the project managers;
- Participate in the development and updates of project plans.
Requirements:
- 3 to 6 years experience in project financials;
- Able to work flexible hours (which may include week-ends and/or public holidays) if required;
- Ability to influence decisions from top down and bottom up;
- Fluency in English (mandatory);
- 5 years of project environment experience in a large enterprise;
- Oracle Projects knowledge highly desirable;
- CAPM or other project management certification preferred;
- Good knowledge of project management practices;
- Demonstrated ability to flexible and capable of dealing with varying requests;
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (mandatory);
- Management level interface and presentation skills;
- Ability to build and manage relationships in a multi-disciplinary team;
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and project budget planning/tracking and financial analysis skills;
- Oracle financial knowledge preferred;
- Be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance & Controlled Good Clearance (mandatory).
