VP of Product Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a VP of Product to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead internal projects as needed to drive team efficiencies;
- Collaborate with development and UX to size product ideas/stories and initiatives;
- Help manage the product development lifecycle; develop detailed functional specifications for existing and new products;
- Own the definition and mapping of user flows for the product;
- Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders across functions to understand their needs and synthesize requirements for development teams;
- Work cross-functionally to plan and drive releases and customer launches for product;
- Help define and prioritize product challenges and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Have previous experience working in a data-driven product management role;
- Data insights through critical analysis methods for improving a software product/service is something that motivates you, and provides a key skill;
- You apply design thinking and service design concepts to articulate product opportunities;
- You work well equally with creative and UX teams, data science teams and can help communicate directly to the business strategy and customer teams;
- You’re able to learn complex, technical topics quickly and explain them simply;
- You have shipped game changing products that customers love;
- You are user centric in your thinking;
- You communicate product ideas and plans clearly through mockups, technical requirements, project briefs, business cases and analysis;
- Leading end to end product development initiatives;
- Experience in Agile project / product development methodology;
- You are either an Intermediate Product Manager or a Product Manager in a SaaS business;
- High energy, drive, and a passion for building great products.
