Mechanic 3 Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mechanic 3 to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled quality service and preventive maintenance of various sewing, taping, Down machine and press machines on a regular basis;
- Provide input and support on best practices in assembling, calibrating and testing new equipment and other accessories;
- Collaborate with engineering department to innovate, customize and improve tooling, production methods, and processes;
- You ensure all safety procedures are followed when performing repairs; maintain a safe and clean working environment by following 5S principles;
- Research and study on AI manufacturing for current and future development;
- You calibrate machinery to prevent quality problems;
- Collaborate with production engineering department on manufacturing templates and patterns for Pattern stitch machines;
- Perform special projects and other duties as instructed by Manager, Machine & Tooling;
- Work with Training department to develop training materials and conduct training for new employees especially on machine knowledge and set-up.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of 5S and Lean production;
- Experience in pattern programming;
- Solid conflict resolution skills;
- Strong computer skills including good working knowledge in MS Office;
- Experiences with electric, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems;
- Team player and able to interface directly with cross functional teams;
- Carpentry skills;
- Minimum 8 years sewing and other machine repair experience and minimal millwright experience;
- Mechanically inclined;
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
