Software Engineer – Umbrella Data Platform Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Software Engineer – Umbrella Data Platform to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Debug system and performance issues. You enjoy diving into the difficult and obscure things that others can’t;
- Help your team deliver the most secure platform that can achieve the highest level of security certifications;
- Help us integrate security at all phases of the development process;
- Collaborate with team members to design distributed, highly available systems;
- Perform vulnerability assessments, threat modeling and routine security posture reviews;
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure in a 24×7 production environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with AWS. You can build AMIs with Packer, deploy and manage resources with Terraform, and automate things with Ansible;
- Experience running large databases;
- Familiarity with Prometheus and Datadog for monitoring and alerting;
- Experience with Linux systems. You know your way around the command-line and are close friends with lsof, strace, tcpdump, and their associates;
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
