Our company is looking for a Program Director to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Evening Program Activities;
  • Work with program heads and instructors regarding program preparation including lesson plans, teaching progression and program standards;
  • Facilitate Sunday night Program Staff meeting;
  • Supervise activity sign-ups during camper check-ins and enter activity selections into the database;
  • Ensure activity schedules run on time with accurate head counts;
  • The dynamic nature of summer camp demands each staff understand that additional duties may be assigned as required;
  • Supervise execution of Sunday Evening Program Demos;
  • Role Specific Responsibilities Attend, facilitate and supervise May Planning Weekend;
  • Create and maintain all staff schedules related to camp programming;
  • Ensure camp program award allocations given to campers are accurate and enter awards into the database on a weekly basis;
  • Teaching Provide on-going supervision of programs and teaching progression techniques through regular meetings and sitting in on classes;
  • Supervise Thursday computerized evaluation writing and ensure evaluations are reviewed and completed correctly.

Requirements:

  • Valid G driver’s license;
  • Must be willing to take part in camp related activities outside the defined job description;
  • Administrative background with experience in supervising peers;
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR certification;
  • Minimum Bronze Cross Award;
  • Must be an enthusiastic, energetic and positive person;
  • A minimum of 18 years of age;
  • Genuine interest in working with children in the community;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, evaluate and deal effectively with problem-solving situations within the area of responsibility;
  • Experience working with children of varied ages in a supervisory or teaching situation. Specific camp experience an asset.
