Warehouse Operator – 2nd Shift Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Operator – 2nd Shift to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Follows customer requirements to select, fill and package orders;
- Performs a variety of material movement tasks for order filling, receiving, and loading;
- Attaches bundle tag to material being shipped and stages for shipment;
- Works under immediate supervision;
- Safely uses assigned power equipment to move material and meet order requirements (crown truck, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, fork lift, etc.);
- Notices and reports defects and/or excessive wear and tear of equipment; May perform set-up and preventative maintenance of equipment;
- Loads and unloads trucks in an efficient manner;
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment;
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Requirements:
- Basic measurement competency;
- Certified in assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.);
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse environment;
- Basic math competency;
- Strong work ethic;
- One year of work experience;
- One year of equipment experience;
- PC literacy.
