IVVQ Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IVVQ Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develops product knowledge through formal and informal training, OJT, and self-study;
- Planning and performing integration and test activities in-house and at project sites to mitigate the key project commissioning risks;
- Assists in the development of V&V schedules and budgets and associated progress reporting;
- Writing scripts to automate test scenarios and verifications (Perl and/or Python);
- Identify test objectives and test cases;
- Direct, supervise and review the work of more junior staff performing V&V work;
- Assist in project schedule and budget activities;
- Preparing the test procedures in accordance with V&V test plans;
- Trains and develops the skills of more junior staff;
- Preparing test reports which record the pass, fail status of planned tests and identify problems detected during the tests;
- Extended travel to field site is required in accordance with company policy;
- Prepare problem reports in the defect tracking system describing test failures and defects;
- Keep current with company test processes and methods;
- Commissioning tests in plant and at project sites;
- Planning the Verification and Validation Project work, including the preparation of V&V test plans.
Requirements:
- Competence in technical writing;
- Knowledge of railway signalling techniques is also an asset;
- Competence in team leadership;
- Minimum of 5 years of real-time embedded mission critical system test experience;
- Understanding of the roles of other departments as relating to Verification and Validation/Testing;
- Company product knowledge (SelTrac) is an asset;
- Automated Test Scripting (preferably in PERL and/or Python);
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
