Talent Acquisition Specialist - 14M Contract

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team supporting Irving Business Services on a contract basis. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this role is responsible for delivering full-cycle recruitment support across a variety of business functions, including Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Legal and Facilities.

The successful candidate will partner with hiring managers and stakeholders to attract, assess, and hire talent while providing a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. In addition to professional recruitment, this role plays a key role in supporting the Divisional Student Program through campus engagement, recruitment events, student hiring, onboarding, and collaboration with JDI Student Recruitment on enterprise-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for professional, administrative, technical, and specialized positions across Irving Business Services.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring requirements, lead recruitment activities, and support candidate selection decisions.
• Source, screen, interview, and assess candidates using a variety of recruitment channels and tools.
• Maintain candidate pipelines and ensure timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
• Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience while supporting hiring leaders and stakeholders.
• Lead the IBS Student Recruitment Program, including student sourcing, interviews, hiring, onboarding, and engagement activities.
• Coordinate, and participate in career fairs, campus recruitment events, networking opportunities, and student-focused initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of talent acquisition or related experience.
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience using social media and online recruitment tools to attract talent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Oracle Recruitment Cloud (ORC) is considered an asset.
