Team Profile: Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research and Global Capital Markets. Position Description: Work with our global business, operations, and technology divisions to provide strategic technical solutions to complex business needs. Engage in design and implementation of critical applications with next generation technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent core Java skills, including very good understanding of - Collections, Multi-Threading, Generics
• Proficiency in OO design and various design patterns
• Proficiency in working with one or more popular relational database platforms (Sybase, DB2 preferred) and SQL programming
• Reasonable expertise in one or more scripting languages - Perl, Ruby, Python, Shell etc.
• Reasonable expertise in using one or more application frameworks - Spring, Struts etc.
• Exposure to Message brokers (MQ) and/or distributed caches (EhCache, Hazelcast etc.)
• Good analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and must be interested in business.
• Self-motivated and ability to work consistently and efficiently to achieve end goals

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a financial industry
