Course Description: This course examines the intricate relationships among feminism, culture, power and representation. Major themes include: the construction of gendered, sexualized, and racialized subjectivities; ideologies and the media; bio-and communication technologies; neoliberalism and neocolonialism; and counter interpretations, reclamations, and remixes of hegemonic cultural forms.

Qualifications: Applicants will have a Masters or Ph.D. in Gender, Feminist and/or Sexuality Studies or a closely related discipline. A Ph.D. degree in Gender, Feminist or Sexuality Studies is preferred. Mastery/competency in the subject area, as related to the course description, is required. Previous experience teaching a similar course is desirable.
Description of Duties: Preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; dealing with student inquires; calculation and submission of grades (including any grading or submission of grades not completed by the end of session: December 31, 2026 for the F session and April 30, 2027 for the S); holding regular office hours; supervising TAs (if any) assigned to the course.
