Line Cook / Prep Cook - Back of House

Shibuya Izakaya Japanese Restaurant is hiring reliable and hardworking Back of House (BOH) team members. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Our BOH team works together and helps with all areas of kitchen operations. Team members are not limited to one station or duty.
Responsibilities:
- Line cooking and food preparation
- Preparing ingredients and menu items
- Washing dishes and maintaining the dish area
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and workstations
- Sweeping, mopping and general kitchen cleaning
- Taking out garbage
- Stocking and organizing ingredients and supplies
- Receiving and rotating inventory
- Following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Helping other BOH team members wherever needed
What we're looking for:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking with a positive attitude
- Willing to help wherever needed
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset, but not required
- Training will be provided
- Weekday and weekend availability preferred
All BOH team members are expected to assist with cooking, food preparation, dishes, cleaning, stocking and general kitchen duties as required.
