Lead backend game systems engineering at Kabam’s Montreal studio, applying Node.Js and cloud infrastructure expertise onsite five days weekly.As Principal Backend Programmer, you will design advanced modular gameplay systems and influence Kabam’s games. Your work spans server-side technologies, RESTful APIs, databases, authentication, and data processing pipelines. Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and other teams on large-scale software solutions.Key Responsibilities:
Architect robust, flexible, high-performing modular gameplay systemsTranslate requirements into technical designs and technology choicesManage AWS or GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as CodeBuild CI/CD pipelines for game servers and APIsAnalyze bottlenecks, debug issues, and implement effective solutionsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Computer Science experience10+ years of software development experience, preferably gamingStrong JavaScript, TypeScript, or C# experienceStrong Node.Js, RESTful API, AWS or GCP experienceDocker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, and multiplayer WebSocket experienceBring principal-level backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and multiplayer systems expertise to Kabam’s Montreal gaming studio.
