Bilingual Translator and Revisor at CIHI

Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI)

Enhance CIHI's document accuracy as a Bilingual Translator and Revisor in Ottawa. You will translate documents from English to French, ensuring quality and adherence to industry standards. As a key member of CIHI, you will translate and revise various texts, maintaining high linguistic standards. Your role involves reviewing translations for quality and mentoring junior translators. You will also conduct research to resolve translation queries and update terminology databases. Key Responsibilities:

Translate and revise newsletters, reports, and web content
Review and ensure quality control of French translations
Conduct language research and consult with experts
Maintain terminology databases and translation memory software
Mentor junior team members and address their queries

Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in Translation or related field
3-5 years of translation and revision experience
Excellent command of French syntax and terminology
Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with translation management tools
