Manufacturing Technician

Zimmer Biomet

Zimmer Biomet seeks a Manufacturing and Metrology Technician for its Montreal facility to support product development, design transfers, and quality compliance in a regulated medical device environment. The role requires expertise in metrology, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and machining processes.

Responsibilities

Program coordinate measuring machines and analyze drawings with GD&T specifications
Conduct metrology validation including gage R&R and first article inspections
Support design for manufacturing activities and process validation for new products
Execute root cause analysis for non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions
Develop, validate, and document inspection protocols and custom dimensional control solutions

Requirements

Deep expertise in metrology, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and inspection techniques
Proven experience with CNC machining and manufacturing processes
Demonstrated track record in design transfer and supplier qualification activities
Knowledge of root cause analysis tools and problem-solving methodologies
Experience in regulated, high-precision manufacturing environments for medical devices
Proficiency with CMM programming and specification analysis
