Capital Planning - Project Manager

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager – Capital Planning to join a dynamic engineering consulting team and oversee projects that support clients in optimizing the performance and long-term value of their building assets.
In this role, you will work closely with clients, manage a variety of assessment and planning initiatives, and deliver actionable insights through comprehensive capital planning studies and asset management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead capital planning and building assessment projects from initiation through completion
- Conduct site inspections and evaluate building systems and components
- Prepare Building Condition Assessments (BCAs), Depreciation Reports, Reserve Fund Studies, and capital planning reports
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and a fee proposal
- Manage project delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality consulting services
- Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to team growth and development
Qualificatio
- 5+ years of experience in Capital Planning, Building Assessments, Asset Management, or related consulting services
- Degree in Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Science, Applied Science, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of building systems, lifecycle costing, asset management, and capital planning principles
- Experience in preparing technical reports and presenting findings to clients
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Must hold a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada or be eligible for registration with the applicable provincial engineering association (PEO, EGBC, APEGA, or equivalent)
